Heron, Paiiiamentary history.—The number of burgage freeholds is about 321, ofwhich 190 were in the possession of Lord GalKvay ; a few belonged to the lateSir R. Winn, Bart. ; 44 to Mr. Piit, which were sold to Mr. Walsh ; and theremainder to other individuals. When members were returned on the tight ofburgage freeholds, it is obvious, that Lord GalKvay could return whom hepleased; nor could the other freeholders make any effectual opposition to bis interest.
