The stalks grow six feet high, and the ears are all large in size, with grains nearly clear white in color. An average ear measured six and a half inches long and contained 585 perfect kernels, while many ears reached eight inches in length. It pops pure paper-white, of fine quality. In competition for the prizes oflered, Mr. A. J. Bates, Cawker City, Kansas, sent us a grand stalk bearing eighteen ears; Abram Spickerman, Red Creek, Wayne Co., N. Y., won second prize, with a stalk bear- ing fifteen ears ; and Mrs. George Miess, Brooklyn Station, Ontario, Canada, won third prize, also with fif- teen ears on a stalk. The above count includes the main stalk only, and all the above, together with other stalks sent by our customers, which, including suckers, bore nineteen and twenty ears from one grain planted, were exhibited at our warehouse. We offer the pure seed at io cts. per package, or three packages for 25 cts.; per pint 25 cts.; per quart 45 cts., postpaid. QUEEN'S GOLDEN POP CORN.
