In April 90 Oologist, we published the fol-lowing notice: Collectors having eggs of Bridled Tern thatthey obtained direct from me, will please keep,the same in their posession until a questionwhich has recently arisen, can be settled. My collector on the Bahamas was a man ofexperience, and old army captain, and who. past dozen years, has spent from six to ninemonths annually in active field work. In 88and89 he brought home from the Bahamas,several skins of the Bridled Tern and a few eggswhich he postively identified as coming fromthe same species. That my collector is honestin his belief in the identity of the eggs, is un-questionable, but one of the best, if not thevery best Oologists in the United States—orthe world for that matter—writes me that theyare not the eggs of the Bridled Tern.
