NEW YORK (July 28, 2017) Capt. William Cox, commander of Navy Recruiting Region East, takes a selfie with Cmdr. Jason Sticht, commanding officer of Navy Recruiting District New York, during a change of command ceremony held in One World Trade Center. The New York recruiting district was officially established in 1972 to help create an all-volunteer naval force and consists of more than 40 recruiting stations covering New York City, Long Island and the northern half of New Jersey.
