Recruits from Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, perform ammunition can lifts during a combat fitness test at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Jan. 18. Recruits had to lift the 30-pound can as many times as possible within two minutes. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Hotel Company is scheduled to graduate Feb. 9.
