It can beworked with the finest thread for imitation lace, and the coarsestdouble wool for rugs, while there is a large range between for anunlimited variety of useful and fancy articles, such as shawls, coun-terpanes, slippers, mittens, purses, socks, etc., etc. The materialmay be cotton, silk, wool, chenile or twine, the object for which thearticle is to be used determining the material to be cliosen.
