Greatham Parish Church, West Sussex.
Greatham Parish Church is a twelfth century herdsman's church situated in an idyllic area of the Sussex Weald. The inside remains unrestored with a seventeenth century alter rail and a double-decker pulpit dating back to 1820. The external part of the tower is hung slate. During the English Civil War in the 1640's there was a skirmish by Greatham Bridge nearby, using artillery. Those killed are buried in the churchyard.
