the vöhlin castle is located above the town of illertissen in the neu-ulm district. the castle in its current form is the successor to the high medieval tissen castle and is now the seat of two museums,the bavarian bee museum and the local history museum. the castle also serves as a conference center for the vöhlinschloss university center.
