For several years I have had in my possession a nest of this de-scription, which was found in a honey-suckle vine but a few feet fromthe ground. I have sacrificed the structure for the purpose of makingthe sectional illustration shown in Figure 2, p. 71. Figure 1, p. 70, ismade as nearly the size of the original as possible, although owing tothe length of time in which I have retained it, it may have contractedor settled somewhat in its height. This fabric was composed of theusual material, as will be described further on, and upon making acareful vertical bisection with a pair of scissors, revealed an internalarrangement as shown in Figure 2.
