In loving memory of Hon. M. Leslie Davis we dedicate the 1952Atlantic Associational Minutes. He was the beloved and honoredmoderator of the Association for thirty-nine years. As a presidingofficer, he stood as a peer; unequalled in his knowledge as a parlia-mentarian, unmatched in his ability to guide the association in itsdeliberations and unexcelled in his devotion to the cause of Christrepresented by the churches of the association. Brother Davis was one of the most outstanding church His-torians in the state of North Carolina. From the time he was firstelected moderator of the Old Neuse-Atlantic Association until thetime of death he had in his files the minutes of each year. He wasa great lover of books; and had acquired through the years one ofthe best religious Libraries to be found. The 69th Annual Session met in the First Baptist Church ofMorchead City on the 30-31 of October. Although he had been in illhealth for some time, he presided at both sessions; and was re-electedforminutesofannuals5255atla
