When Abraham Lincoln was a lawyer in Illinois, heand a certain Judge once got to bantering one anotherabout trading horses; and it was agreed that the nextmorning at 9 oclock they should make a trade, the horsesto be unseen up to that hour, and no backing out, undera forfeiture of $25.
