NORMANDY - VARIOUS - Israel Capurou of Namangan, Turkestan, was captured by the Germans at Rostov in June 1942. In January 1943 he was released from a POW camp and forced to join the Turkestan group of the German Army. He was recently brought from Holland to fight around Caen. In peace time he was a collective farm labourer. , British Army, 21st Army Group
