Tea patio in front of the Battery building in Portmerion Village, Wales

Portmeirion is a colorful holiday village on Whitesands Bay on the coast of Snowdonia in North Wales. The village was developed by Bertram Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1976. Many of the buildings were relocated from other places, some from as early as the 19th century. The buildings are Grade II listed. The village was used in the 1960's cult television program The Prisoner starring Patrick McGoohan.
