The Romanesque Rotunda on Castle Hill, Cieszyn, Poland Beautiful mature grounds on a Summer's day. Lots of greenery, blue sky.
The beautiful Romanesque Rotunda on the Castle Hill in Cieszyn, Poland is one of Silesia's most famous and recognisable landmarks. The Rotunda, featured on the back of the 20zl note, was built in the 11th Century and, although it has changed over the centuries, remains one of the most pretty, quaint buildings I have seen. The setting is beautiful, amid many mature trees on the Castle Hill which looks out over the River Olza and into the Czech Republic. This photo was taken on the perfect Summer's day.
