The Church of the Brethren in the town of Hunt-ingdon was organized in 1878. The members thatconstituted this church at its organization had beenin the James Creek Church. The first members ofthe Church of the Brethren that were in Huntingdonwere Dr. A. B. Brumbaugh and his wife. The doctorlocated here and commenced the practice of medi-cine a number of years before the organization ofthe Huntingdon Church. In 1873, H.
