NEW LATE CABBAGE HOUSER. This new Cabbage is the result of twenty years' careful selection by an expert market gardener. The heads are large, weighing on an average 10 to 12 pounds. They grow so compact and free from spreading leaves that fully 500 more heads can be obtained from an acre than with any of the other late varieties, and in solidity is not excelled by the very hardest. The largest heads have hearts meas- uring but two inches, which shows that they are nearly all edible. They seldom crack, and if they do it is at the stem end, which does not injure them. This late Cabbage is perfect in every re- spect as to size, weight, quality, sure-heading, small- ness of heart and long keeping. Pkt. 10c, oz. 40c, V4\b. $ Charleston or Large Wakefield—A very popular variety with market gardeners in the south. It is about a week later than Early Jersey Wake- field, but the heads are nearly one-half larger; does not burst when ripe, like most early sorts, and can be left standing in the field some time without /damage. Pkt. 5c, oz. 30c, ^lb. 90c, lb. $ Early Spring—Nearly as early as the Jersey Wake- field, but the heads are of the round flat type of Early Summer. It has very few small outer leaves, thus allowing its being planted close. The heads grow remarkably uniform in size and shape; stem short and heart very small, making almost entire head fit for use. The quality is extremely fine. VPkt. 5c, oz. 35c, 541b. $, lb. $ "Fottler's Improved Brunswick—The earliest of thr large-headed Drumheads.
