It is some 500 miles from Omaha and some 250 milesfrom Denver. The prevailing winds are from the northwest,the maximum velocity for 1903 being forty-five miles perhour. The mean temperature was about 450, Avith a maximumof 980 and a minimum of 200. Humidity, 66%. The evapo-ration over the area to be irrigated is about the same as forEastern Colorado.
