It is satisfactorily and clearly provedthat he was the third son of the first Baronet;that his eldest son, who also obtained a grantin the same vicinity, was John Scott; whoseonly child was Gen. John Morin Scott, Secre-tary of State of the State of New York; whoseonly surviving son was Lewis Allaire Scott,also Secretary of State of the State of NewYork; whose only son was John M. Scott,Mayor of Philadelphia; whose eldest son, LewisAllaire Scott, Esq., of Philadelphia, is stillliving. Crest : A lions head, erased, gules. Motto : Tace atif face.
