Adm. Harry Harris, Pacific Command commander, pulls the cover off the new plaque at the Neal S. Blaisdell War Memorial Plaque Rededication Ceremony in Honolulu, Nov. 10, 2015. Harris was one of the guest speakers for the ceremony in which he stated, “Any nation that does not honor its heroes will not endure.” The Neal S. Blaisdell Center was dedicated as a war memorial in 1964, but its plaque went missing. The new plaque was dedicated to revitalize and preserve the war memorial heritage.
