The magnificent 1867 constructed, timber Royal Palace of the Kingdom of Tonga in Nuku'alofa in 1984. The palace is home to His Majesty King Tupou VI having succeeded his eldest brother, His Late Majesty King George TUPOU V who passed away in March 2012.
