The Severn Class RNLI Lifeboat RNLB Ernest and Mabel does an evening display for the public off the coast at Nothe Gardens during the charities fun day during lifeboat week at Weymouth in Dorset. An added bonus for the spectators was an unscheduled appearance of the Coastguard helicopter from Lee on Solent which winched a member of the helicopter crew from the lifeboat deck after it was called to the area to conduct a search of the Portland coastline.
