(Schall.) it is also stated that in order to get an equally good picture with analternating transformer it was necessary to give an exposure of a httle over300 millianij)ere-seconds, that is, more than 3 times the exposure givenin the experiment A, or 300 to 72 milhampere-seconds. The plate facing this page shows the results of experiments carriedout with a view to corroborating the above. They were conducted underthe same conditions as nearly as possible. The same measuruig mstrumentswere used, and also the same tube. The transformer was a Victor machine,the coil a IG-inch one.
