The cross-ing illustrated was made by the IndianapolisSwitch & Frog Company, of Springfield,Ohio. Crossings of this design are built by this company with caseror reinforcing rail, which serves to carry locomotive tires and pre-vents their striking the abutting rails of the electric railway SPECIAL RAILWAY CROSSING adding very materially to the life of the crossing and preservingthe alignment.
