Musical instrument soprano Hawaiian ukulele uke
Musical instrument making is important in Romania and the Transylvania region this is a soprano ukulele made from local beech lime and spruce woods in the town of Reghin. The ukulele was developed in Hawaii after Portuguese sailors brought a small vihuela or viola-like guitar family instrument to the islands in the 19th century. Relatives of the uke can be found throughout South America and the Caribbean, and also in the Canary Islands and Madeira.
