Informal Women’s Kimono. The patterns on this kimono were applied to the fabric using stencil printing. This new way of dyeing fabric was simple, quick, and cost efficient. The geometric patterns in a contemporary art-deco style were ideally suited for the rapid production of prêt-à-porter-kimonos.
