The nose of F-15C 84-0027 from the 493rd Fighter Squadron at RAF Lakenheath shows the two victory stars recording the kills this airframe achieved in the Gulf War of 1991. An Iraqi Mig-23 and French built Mirage F-1 were it's victims, which occurred prior to this airframe being assigned to the UK based 493rd FS.
