The Sandiefield Road tower blocks in the Hutchesontown area of the Gorbals in Glasgow stood 69m tall and contained almost 400 flats over 24 storeys. They were completed in 1971 as part of the Area E estate of the Gorbals Comprehensive Development Area. The blocks were demolished in their turn by a controlled explosion on 21 July 2013 to make way for a new health centre, social housing and office accommodation. Image is scan of original b&w negative taken in March 1977.
