Male urethra. Endoscope view of part of the prostatic urethra. The urethra is the tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the body. In men it also carries semen and, just beneath the bladder, is surrounded by the prostate gland, which produces some of the liquid found in semen. At centre is one of the two ejaculatory ducts that carry the semen from the prostate to the urethra.
