FAFE MOUNTAINS, PORTUGAL: COULD this real-life Flintstones house be the most impregnable yet bizarre on the planet? Nestled between four mighty granite boulders, two-thousand six hundred feet high in the Fafe Mountains in Portugal, this extraordinary dwelling with bullet-proof doors and windows is known as ‘Casa do Penedo’ or ‘House of Stone’. Portuguese photographer Ricardo Oliveira Mateus (34) was able to reach this house of rock and snap the unusual character of this sixteen and a half feet tall former holiday home.
