The various exhibitions, yearafter year, proclaim, with a solitary exceptionhere and there, an astounding ignorance of themerest rudiments of floral-architecture amongartists—and eminent artists, too. Conglomerations, highly suggestive of modelsin Turnips stained red, are more often than notcatalogued as Roses, when they might bePseonies, double Kanunculi, or many otherthings—a fact which, at all events, demonstratesthe utility of a catalogue.
