Theumbilicus is very involute (5 per cent of the shell diameter), pit-like, with a slopingumbilical wall and subrounded shoulder. The whorl section is subovate, compressed(H/W = ), with a narrow evenly arched venter and weakly convex flanks whichconverge slightly towards the venter. Maximum width is one-third of the way up the flank. Ornament is lacking on the inner flanks but this is due, at least partly, to
