I thank Thee for the faithfulband of saints and soldiers that Thou hast raised up towork in this place, for all their incomprehensible love andforbearance towards me, and for all the lessons of pure-hearted devotion they have been daily teaching me. Grantme by Thy grace to be all that they imagine that I am,through Jesus Christ. Amen. Loving Father, hear and answer my last prayer, in thename of Jesus, in this room, on this platform, and in thisplace. Pour out Thy Spirit from on high, that Thy childrenhere may resist even unto blood, striving against sin, andmay be willing to be baptized with the Holy Spirit andwith fire, and may they rest in Thy love and be at peace. On Monday FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF COUNTRY AND PEOPLE 29 morning it poured with rain, but happily cleared up by thetime Mr. Schrey, the Siboga missionary, came on board tomeet us.
