Fares are recorded on Ohmer registers,but no fare boxes are used. The car is both pay-as-you-enter and pay-as-you-leave, depending on whether thepassenger goes to the front or rear of the car. Thepassengers enter at the left door and pay when theypass the conductor either to go to the front end of thecar or to leave.
