The giant of the family, attaining a height of 10 to 12 feet; the large heads of golden-yellow flowers reach perfection late in October. Canadensis. Grows 4 to 5 feet high, with spikes of golden yellow flowers from the end of July until September. Golden Wings. The finest of all; 5 feet high with immense pani- cles of bright golden-yellow flowers from July to September. Rigidus. A bold plant with heavy foliage and immense heads of flowers in July and August. Shorti. Golden-yellow flowers in July and August; 3 feet. Virgaurea Compacta.
