A cavalry officer school graduation badge Introduced on 17 September 1898, the oxidised silver badge is shaped like the emblem of state, a Russian double eagle as it appeared under the reign of Nicholas I, resting under the ribbon wreath bound by the bow. On the bow are situated three Cyrillic letters "OKW" for the Cavalry Officer School, applied in gold. Beneath the eagles a broadsword, a cavalry sabre and a cavalry straight sword are crossed, their guards (the middle one broken) fashioned in gold.
