We refuse to discriminate in favor of through passengers, but charge only three cents per mile, nomatter whether local or through ; but no ticket for less than 20 cents. We inclose tariff, fi-om whichyou will see that wo charge in proportion to distance. Our proportion, however, of through rates toEastern States gives in only six cents per 100 lbs. for any distance under 36 miles, and seven cents per100 lbs. over that distance. This, however, applies only to full car loads of grain, meal and flour. 431 STATE AND LOCAL Paris township voted 120,000, payable when road was completed through the township, which shegave.
