The Signal Tower at Carrigan Head in County Donegal, Ireland, is one of 12 lookouts in the county, and like the Cape Clear tower was constructed in the early 19th century in response to repeated attempts by French forces to invade Ireland between 1796 and 1798. A couple of sheep graze below the remains of a Second World War lookout post.
