City of Bruges, Belgium. Picturesque view of the Poertoren tower by the banks of Minnewater Lake, on the outskirts of Bruges city centre. Part of the original city wall defences, the tower was constructed in 1401 by Master Mason Jan van Oudenaerde and was utilised to store gun powder.
