JANUARY 01,2022,DHAKA,BANGLADESH- A Gypsy family sitting in their boat house Hundreds of Gypsy live in small wooden boats on the bank of Ichamoti River on outskirts of Dhaka. About 800,000 river gypsies, also known as Bedey, live across the country, mostly surviving on being skilled snake charmers or by selling ornaments, traditional medicine and cosmetics. Apparently, Bangladeshs Bedey community could disappear within a few decades as they abandon their annual migration between land and water on January 01,2022 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
