A patch of No. Ill, Hudson River slate, caps the lime-stone west of the P. & R. railroad, occupying Cemeteryhill, as shown on the Index map. Several exposures ofsilicious limestone occur along the base of the Neversinkhills, the first one in a small pit close to the junction of No. Second Seol. I sandstone south-east of St Pauls church, dipping N. 60°E. 65°. Again it has been opened on the south side of the Cot-ton road, i mile south-west of last locality, where it is sosilicious and filled with chert and gravel as to render itsrecognition difficult. The dip is apparently overturnedhere S. 10-13° E. 63°-80°. The large gravel bank south-west from here, at bend ofWhite House road, shows cherty limestone also, dippingS. 5° E. 85°, strongly marked with cleavage. About 6 feet of good white and blue limestone is exposedat several places in railroad cut, north of the Reading IronWorks, dipping S. 39° E. 75°-80°, accompanied with finegravel. North of the church, and on north side of small streamrunning down through the city a good face of limestonefrom 30 to 40 feet thick is shown in W.
