The animals at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo will be getting their fangs into some tasty treats , as they’re dished up pumpkin platters to get them into the spooky spirit. Meerkats Paul, George and Ringo will enjoy a breakfast of crickets hidden inside Jack O ’Lanterns, while the Zoo’s oriental small-clawed otters will be dished up fish-filled pumpkins as they join in with the Halloween celebrations. Zookeepers are also busy stuffing pumpkins full of spooky snacks for some of the other animals, including the chimpanzees and ring-tailed lemurs, to form part of their regular enrichment programme - stimulating their natural behaviours as they forage for the food photos by brian
