Each sheet has anindex stamp on one corner, which contains space for the num-ber of the schedule, the date it was put in effect, and blankspaces for indicating the number of the car and the headwayfor each change during the day. These schedules are put on sheets 20J/2 in. x25 ins. in size, Fig. 16, a separate sheet being used for each scheduled time for leaving each terminal, and on longlines, a central point on the line are noted in black ink, andthe time out of the barn and in at night, as well as the numberof the car runs are indicated in red ink. The time underlinedin red ink indicates reliefs at the relief point. From the tabulation of working runs on the chief dispatchersschedule are made up the typewritten working list spoken ofabove. Tf there is room, that part of the list affecting one lineis pasted on the bottom of the time schedule (Fig. 16). Each of the two dispatchers has upon his desk a large sheeton which he records the actual leaving time of every car, asreported by the conductors. For reference he has beneathhis working sheet
