Tropical Storm Andrea, GOES, 2013
This image of tropical storm Andrea was assembled from data collected by NOAA's GOES-14 satellite at 8:31 EDT on June 7, when the storm's center was about 35 miles north-northwest of Charleston, Tropical Storm Andrea brought flooding to Cuba, the Yucatan Peninsula, and portions of the East Coast of the United States in June 2013. The first tropical cyclone and named storm of the annual hurricane season, Andrea originated from an area of low pressure in the eastern Gulf of Mexico on June 5.
