The Abbey Memorial Avill be on the Green in Enfield, on the site of thechurch out of whieli Captain Abbey drummed the congregation at the Lex-ington Alarm. The actual site of the old church is just in front of thepresent edifice. The design calls for a marble statue on a pedestal surroundedby four marble seats in the Greek style. On the backs of these seats areinscriptions commemorating the achievements of some of the best known descend-ants of the Abbey family, in the fields of war, literature
