NORFOLK, Va. (April 27, 2017) -- Sig Alman, a World War II veteran and former shipmate of President Gerald R. Ford, talks with Pre-Commissioning Unit Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) Sailors during a tour of the ship. Alman and Ford served together aboard the USS Monterey (CV 26) and were involved in several operations in the Pacific.
