The wholesize of the plant is about one-third that of the ordinary 64 COLOUR IN THE FLOWER GARDEN kind ; the flowers are darker in colour and the timeof blooming a good month earlier. It has a differentuse in gardening, as the flowers, being more crowdedand of a deeper tint, make a distinct its border use it is a plant for dry banks, topsof rock-work and ROSE THE GARLAND IN A SILVER HOLLY.
