Head of a buffalo in a little-house, called 'Jodhang'. It will be thrown away as an offering in the south sea by the fishermen. Bantul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. February 2, 2006. Once a year, fishermen in Samas Beach, Bantul, Yogyakarta send ritual offerings to the Nyi Roro Kidul (Queen of Southern Sea); a deity of Indonesian Mythology. They believe that the Goddess will grant them a year of blessing and luck. January is a difficult month for fishermen because of the high tide in South Sea, but their faith and belief upon the Goddess give them hope.
