Hall Green lock on the Macclesfield canal near Kidsgrove in Cheshire. This lock and its associated lock keepers cottage is towards the southern end on the Macclesfield canal. It was originally a “stop lock” between two canals, the Macclesfield and the Trent and Mersey and thus only has a 12inch difference between the water levels.
