I am free to admit that it takes a goodmechanic to be able to read some draw-ings. The easiest way to draw the plansof a house is to draw the lines straightthrough and then put in the doors andwindows. But while that is the quickest I do not want any one to think I meanthat it is the best. I consider it looksfar better to leave the opening for thedoors open. Some trace dotted lines toshow the way the doors swing, but I donot like that so well. The builder islikely to take the dots for the door andswing the door exactly in the oppositeway from which the draughtsman in-tended. Some show the door square outand the swinging circle line around to there are several differentways. Try and find out the particularway in which the plan was drawn and doyour work accordingly. Now there are also four very commonways to illustrate windows. Possibly thevery easiest and best is simply a linethrough the center which you can say, ify
