There is a land, over the sea,where among their mountains dwells agentle-natured soft-voiced people, pastoralinoccupation, keepers of sheep and tillersof the ground, as were the shepherds whoknelt at the manger. Always from thevery earliest days these people have keptthe pure faith. Christians surrounded byidolaters, they have never wavered, thesesimple-hearted Armenians, in their alle-gians to Jesus of Nazareth. For this rea-son, and for this onlv. Islamism. the reli-.
